Hands down one of the greatest things to have. They’re so comfortable, perfect for those colder adventures in need of layers. Fleece-lined leggings (<- link) also double as fabulous house pants.
Heated Vest
I wish I had one of these on me in Iceland! They really help against that bitter wind. Layering with a heated vest is an absolute game changer. This rechargeable vest (<- link) lasts up to about 10 hours on a single charge.
Wool Socks
Wool socks (<- link) are perfect for hiking. They wick away moisture and keep your feet dry and warm. Perfect for any season!
Hiking Boots
Now – this can be tricky. Know their size and their favored brand. We all have that one brand that has the right amount of support, comfort, perfect toe bed width… you get it. In this case, it really is all about the shoe! But good hiking boots can be expensive, and if you have the budget to splurge, go for it.

These pants absolutely save me during winter trips. Layered with some fleece-lined leggings and I am surviving like a champion. Windproof/waterproof pants (<- link) are a lightweight shell but have a positive impact on how well a hike can go in cold/bad weather.
Camping Gifts For Outdoorsy Women
Tent
How do they like to camp? Alone? With a friend or two? Carrying a tent, no matter how lightweight, is still weight to carry on a hike and requires some thought. As an avid road tripper, I camp often, but usually have the privilege of my car with me, or nearby enough that it doesn’t matter too much if I’m a little over encumbered. This is entirely different for someone who may be trekking for multiple days at a time carrying everything on their back.
Portable Stove
The pocket rocket (<- link) is one of my favorite traveling items to ensure a hot meal! If you want to really spice up the gift, get some meals (<- link) to go with the stove.
Sleeping Bag
This lightweight sleeping bag (<- link) is one of the best out there. So well reviewed by others, comfortable, warm, and can even be buddied up with another sleeping bag.
Techie Gifts For Outdoorsy Women
GPS Device
Sometimes adventures call for the big guns – satellite assistance! Good ones don’t come cheap, but they’re reliable and can help communicate their position back to others. This Garmin GPS (<- link) device isn’t too shabby, but it does come with a hefty price tag.
Portable Speaker
I use my portable speaker the most when I’m hiking alone. I’d like to think it helps keep wildlife at bay so we don’t surprise each other. (AH!) But these portable speakers clip on to a backpack, and can help keep a vibe going around the campfire at night.
Walkie Talkies
Because they’re fun, over.
Walkie Talkies (<- link) are a perfect way to keep the group together, and keep tabs on each other when you purposefully – or accidentally – separate.

Kula Cloth
We all go to the bathroom, and the kula cloth is an easy, sustainable way to go pee in the wilderness.
National Park Pass
Far and away one of the best gifts for outdoorsy women. The National Park Pass is an annually renewed pass that is accepted at all National Parks, National Monuments, National Forests… etc. Perfect for any US based adventures. These can be purchased at any national park/monument entrance or visiting center.
Backpack
Osprey backpacks (<- link) are my bag of choice. They’re incredibly supportive and come in such a range of styles and sizes for women, it’s really easy to find a bag you’ll fall in love with.
