There is about to be some serious jargon in an effort to be compliant with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). And because it’s a lot of boring stuff to read that doesn’t always make sense, this page is dedicated to two things: first – is my honesty policy, and second, is an affiliate disclosure to stay off FTC’s radar.
Honesty Policy
I only recommend services or products I’ve used. And up to this point in my life, I’ve paid for it all on my own. None of these products or services have been given to me for free, unless specifically pointed out.
The affiliate links connect you to the product or service I recommend (on another site) and if you purchase it, I may get a small percentage of the cut. You’re not getting charged extra, you don’t owe me money (unless you just want to give me money…? I’m on Venmo and Paypal.)
It’s not meant to be shady in anyway. I travel a lot, I pay for everything, and affiliate links monetarily help all of the time I’ve invested into my website and knowledge that – hopefully – helps you.
My opinions are my own. I do try to be incredibly considerate and inclusive about what I’m sharing, and I hope that effort is very clear.
You do not have to use the affiliate links. You’re more than welcome to open a new tab or window and find the product or service manually.
I’m not here to lie to anyone.
This disclosure policy is to help cover my ass for whenever those money-making days arrive. (I am okay if they arrive sooner than later, though.)
Disclosure Policy
This site accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship paid insertions or other forms of compensation.
This site abides by word of mouth marketing standards. I believe in the honesty of relationship, opinion and identity. The compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog. That content, advertising space or post will be clearly identified as paid of sponsored content.
The owner of this site (me, Tabitha Bear) may be compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. Even though the owner of this site receives compensation for my posts or advertisements, I will always give my honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences on those topics or products. The views and opinions expressed on this site are purely my own. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.
This site does not contain any content which might present a conflict of interest.
Okay – I think we’re done here! If you have any more questions about all the legal speak the FTC wants to see – reach out!
